Slowly getting back to normal...

This lack of Photoshop is driving me mad (not literally - other things are taking care of that). I want to do a profile update, and I had made a cool background for it, which I subsequently lost when I had to do my system restore. There's no way I'm gonna rip off someone else's picture for my profile so I'm stuck with the current one until I can get something sorted.

I guess I could do another 3-D one in Bryce and use that...

I keep dreaming about having my lip pierced. I've decided I'm gonna get it done at the end of the month when I get my bonus from work. It'll be the first of many...I have plans for my face and the metal within...

Just ordered a weights bench and a set of weights. Even though we can't afford the gym all the time I still want to keep up with stuff. Also getting some 'Stackers' which are basically caffeine pills to speed up your metabolism so you burn fat quicker. My coach uses them and he's lost a ton of weight. My training has gotten lax lately so i'm gonna throw myself into it now. We're gonna be featured in a prominent sports magazine in a few months so that's my target.

On another note, I've been told i'm getting promotion at work to Team Leader! It means at least an extra £3000 per year basic, plus a 9% increase for exceeding targets (which I always do) and i'm also starting an NVQ in management. Once I get that, the wage will go up even more.

Finally, i'm gonna start earning decent moolah instead of crappy retail pay!

I hate Liverpool...

...No, not really, I'm just never going there in convoy again...at least not with bloody Dave from work!

The plan was, we'd drive to Liverpool on friday night, with Dave driving in front, Gav in the middle car, and James bringing up the rear - James took the middle position so Gav and I were left behind. First bad point.

When we got to the first tollbooth to the Pool, we hadn't any change so I rung Dave and told him to wait for us at the other end of the tunnel. He put his foot down and shot off out of sight. Second bad point.

Now, the first rule of convoy is never to lose sight of the other cars. If you're the lead car, make sure you're always in their sight. Dave didn't pay any attention to this, and fucked off out of the tunnel, leaving us stuck behind a fuckwit going 30mph cos he was too afraid to go past a cop car (the speed limit in the tunnel is 50mph). Naturally, we didn't see where they went from the tunnel, and because we'd never been to the liverpool before, we took a wrong turn.

To cut a long story short, we then spent the next three hours driving round looking for Dave, while on the phone to Jen (in the car with him) who was trying to direct us to them. Dave stoicly refused to drive to a prominent meeting point and instead preferred to stay in a back alley somewhere totally obscure.

In the end, after calling my mate Vicky and having her direct us via Google Maps, we found a parking space and made it to the Krazyhouse rock club (ou original destination, 3 hours late), only to find that Dave had dropped Jen and Rob off there and buggered off home. He was supposed to give them a lift home as well, and he'd just stranded them. Luckily, Jen had invited her friend Duncan along so he was able to gove them a bed for the night.

But that's not the point. We're all fuming with Dave now, not only for being a complete selfish bastard and breaking convoy, but for abandoning Jen and Rob.

But the joke was ultimately on him; we had a great 3 hours at the club and now have funny tales of Duncan trying to get off with Liam (another mate who was there) to chortle over on monday.

But safe to say we won't be inviting Dave along on the next night out...

Random idea

Ooh, just had a thought...wouldn't it be cool if we could set some kind of 'out of office' type thing, so that if someone sends us a message when we're not logged in, they get a message saying, for example, that the member is offline and will reply as soon as they can...kind of thing...

It'd be handy for letting your mates know you've gone offline for something, not ignoring them in the middle of a conversation...
